Faux Tail Cat Ball – Rechargeable Rolling Mouse Toy

Faux Tail Cat Ball – Rechargeable Rolling Mouse Toy

Most rolling balls are just spheres, and a cat quickly works out it is a toy rather than prey. This faux tail cat ball adds a tail that trails behind as it rolls, which reads far more like a mouse moving across the floor — the shape cats actually stalk. It is rechargeable, and at roughly 6 x 7 cm it is small enough to bat and carry, with a food-grade silicone cover over the electronics.

Why pet owners choose it

• ✔ Faux tail — trails behind, mimicking a moving mouse
• ✔ Rolling action — moves on its own across the floor
• ✔ Rechargeable — no disposable batteries to keep buying
• ✔ Food-grade silicone — a cover that is soft in the mouth
• ✔ Small and light — 6 x 7cm, easy to bat and carry

At a glance

Is it right for your cat?

This faux tail cat ball suits cats that chase and carry toys, and the mouse-like movement makes it useful for a cat that has become bored with a plain ball. It works best on hard flooring — thick carpet kills the momentum of a small wheeled toy. Because it is small and rollable, check under furniture before you decide it has been lost, and supervise if your cat likes to carry toys in their mouth.

Care

Wipe the silicone with a damp cloth and never submerge the toy, since the electronics are inside. Clear hair from around the wheels regularly, which is the usual reason these toys stop rolling smoothly, and keep the charging port dry before connecting the cable. Charge it before it runs completely flat, which keeps the battery healthier.
