Warm Hamster House Hideout – Cotton Nest
Hamsters sleep in burrows, and an open cage gives them nowhere dark and enclosed to settle. This hamster house is a soft cotton nest that gives them that hiding place — warm to curl into, and enclosed enough that a hamster stops patrolling and actually rests. The cotton is soft against the nose and paws, and it comes in two sizes with a choice of three colours.
Why pet owners choose it
- ✔ Warm cotton nest — soft on nose and paws
- ✔ Enclosed hideout — somewhere dark to sleep
- ✔ Two sizes — suits dwarfs and Syrians
- ✔ Three colours — coffee, pink or sky blue
- ✔ Easy to wash — hand wash and it is fresh again

Which size should you choose?
Small suits dwarf and roborovski hamsters; medium is the better fit for a Syrian, which is roughly twice the size. A hamster should be able to turn around inside without squeezing, but the nest should still feel snug — an oversized hamster house stops feeling like a burrow and gets ignored. Place it in a quiet corner of the cage with a little bedding around the opening.
Care
Hand wash the cotton in cool water with mild soap, then air dry it completely before putting it back. A hamster house that goes back damp will smell and can grow mould in the fabric, which is a genuine health risk. Wash it every couple of weeks, or sooner if your hamster is using it as a toilet as well as a bed, and check the seams for loose threads that could tangle a leg.
What’s in the box
1 x warm hamster house hideout in cotton, in your chosen size and colour.

Frequently Asked Questions
Most settle into an enclosed nest quickly, because it mimics the burrow they would dig in the wild. Leave it in a quiet corner rather than in the open.

It is cotton fabric, so some nibbling is normal and harmless. If your hamster starts pulling it apart, remove it and check for loose threads.
Hand wash in cool water with mild soap and air dry. Machine washing distorts the shape and can fray the seams.
Every couple of weeks, or more often if your hamster is also using it as a toilet.
Coffee, pink and sky blue, so it suits most cage setups.
